This grant will provide the funds to redesign the STEM room at Brookside, and update student projects, to facilitate our vision and give the students a more authentic experience in the realm of engineering.  The following items are being considered: a laser cutter, handtools including saws, drills, files, clamps, wire cutters and jigsaws.  Aesthetics and safety will also be a focus.  We are also exploring some models of “drop in” Maker Space opportunities for students and their parents as a way to expand the usage of the room outside the school day.
