Music First
Music First, is a complete online classroom for K-12 music education, with engaging content and integrated software. The 4th-8th grade band members were provided everything needed to learn music in a connected world.
Under Mrs. Mather’s direction, Brookside music students benefited from several programs. Soundation4Education, allowed students the chance to create and record in school and at home with full access to their work from any location. Focus on Sound, introduced the sounds of musical instruments and voice, while educating students on musical terms. Noteflight Learn, provided online assessment tools and music writing creativity. Using Practice First, students played or sang along with accompaniments and a metronome feature was integrated into the lessons. All of this software enhanced the visual, audio and practiced elements of the band.
This program will continue to inspire our Brookside musicians for years to come.
